Eurotunnel Continue with Maintenance
As part of Eurotunnel's annual investment programme, it plans regular maintenance upgrades - this includes track work, security, analysis of tunnel stress, and all other essential engineering projects but also the final steps to their re-railing plan which started more than 12 months ago.
Maintenance will continue into 2016. The details are as follows:
Of course there is always an impact on customers, this is unavoidable however, Eurotunnel do aim to minimise the impact of the work on customers. They have therefore scheduled maintenance times when traffic is at its lowest. Below are details of when these periods on in January which will help any customers with commercial freight obligations.
Essential tunnel maintenance in January 2016: Limited service during the weekends of

Temporary service suspension between 23 - 24 January.
Every year, a safety exercise is organised between French and UK authorities. This will take place during the evening of Saturday 23rd and into Sunday 24th January. As a result the LAST freight shuttle departure on Saturday 23/01 will be:

From Calais: at 23:24
